It's bizarre that it has been 3 weeks at sea already. I'm not sure if to celebrate or commiserate the pass I guess of the time.
I do know one thing, I wouldn't change it for the world. Ok, it's hard work out here and at times I don't feel like I get a lucky break. like today for instance.....I needed to get South West of where I was but the sea's state had changed over night and was now coming from the South East!! This puts the boats side on to the waves making it very difficult to row AND with a 2-3m swell it was far from ideal. However, rather than not try at all, I gave it a good 6 hours of effort before I was falling sleep on the oars. It was then time to eat and catch a rest.
In those 3 weeks though...I have had Christmas out here and seen the New Year, I have had dolphins and whales swim by the boat too. Yeah, I have had a lot of problems with my hands but they are done now, same with the feet! I am constantly monitoring the other areas of chaffing and being wise to it BUT hopefully the total amount of money raised for MND Association has risen. If not, I will keep rowing SO....SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! There's no turning back and quitting isn't an option.
I best crack on moving forwards at whatever speed!
Happy New Year to you all and much love also.
